2024 Pre-Cadet and Cadet British Championships Winners

The 2024 British Championships were an incredible success, with 36 new British Champions crowned at the University of Warwick. Congratulations to all of our winners!

Cadet Girls

Sara Coni (Camberley) claimed gold in the -44kg category.

Taylor Chrisp (Blyth Juno Michi) emerged victorious in the -48kg category, capping off an exceptional 2024 that also saw her secure a bronze medal at the Thessaloniki Cadet European Cup just weeks ago—an incredible way to end the year!

In the -52kg category, Lucy Robinson (Kin Ryu JC) took home the gold, improving on her 2023 silver medal finish at the British Championships.

Aleksandra Dudko (Ealing JC) triumphed in the -57kg category, securing a well-deserved gold medal.

Maya Aubert Gomez (Ealing JC) continued her club’s success in the -63kg category, clinching gold and surpassing her 2023 British Championships third-place finish.

Leah Starmore (Hardy Spicer 93) took top honors in the -70kg category.

Deborah O’Neal (Ealing JC) completed the event with gold in the +70kg category, cementing a stellar showing for her club.

Cadet Boys

Glen Ferrier (Titan Judo) claimed gold in the -42kg category, improving on his third-place finish at last year’s British Championships.

Luke Hunter (Jidel Judo 93) emerged victorious in the -46kg category.

Coen Gilbert (Sportif) secured gold in the -50kg category, building on his recent fifth-place finish at the Thessaloniki Cadet European Cup just a few weeks ago.

Evan Anderson (Blyth Juno Michi) triumphed in the -55kg category, rounding off an incredibly active year in which he competed in seven international tournaments across Europe, including a silver medal finish at the Riga Cadet European Cup.

In the -60kg category, Jack Milligan (Wirral JC) took home the top prize.

Archie Strang (Danderhall JC) claimed the -66kg category gold medal in dramatic fashion.

Luka Gigilashvili (Palavani) took gold in the -73kg category.

Harri Elliott (High Wycombe JC) claimed the gold medal in the -81kg category with a commanding performance.

In the -90kg category, Peter Crawford (Kin Ryu JC) took top honours, improving on his third-place finish at last year’s British Championships.

Jack Williams (Team Bath) retained his title as British Champion in the +90kg category, taking gold for the second consecutive year.

Pre-Cadet Girls

Charlotte Kasparian (Kyokan Judo) claimed gold in the -36kg category.

Katrina Davis (Yamato JC) took the top spot in the -40kg category, improving on her second-place finish at last year’s British Championships.

Olivia Roberts (Judo Swansea) triumphed in the -44kg category, making a significant leap from last year’s fifth-place finish to become the 2024 British Champion.

Alexandra Lines (Bishop Stortford JK) secured gold in the -48kg category.

In the -52kg category, Evelyn Doherty (Tees Valley Judo) took the gold medal.

Evie Mitchell (The Parks JC) retained her title in the -57kg category, becoming a two-time British Champion after alsoclaiming gold in 2023.

Zoe Galbraith (Highland Budokan) dominated the -63kg category, defending her title to become a two-time British Champion.

Lois Goldie (Pro Judo) took gold in the -70kg category, improving on her runner-up finish from last year.

Finally, Elise Van Rynswoud (Pro Judo) claimed victory in the +70kg category, rounding off an excellent showing for her club.

Pre-Cadet Boys

Joshua Woolerton (Pinewood JC) took gold in the -34kg category.

Louie Seguin (Tonbridge Judo Club) dominated the -38kg category, capping off an incredible year with first-place finishes at the European Hopes Cups in Riga and Brno in recent months. Louie’s victory marks significant progress from last year’s third-place finish at the British Championships.

Ashwin Yoganathan (Samurai Olympic Judo Club) took gold in the -42kg category, stepping up from his runner-up finish at last year’s event.

In the -46kg category, Finlay Whitelaw (Pro Judo) claimed the top spot.

George Topsakhalov (Budokwai) secured gold in the -50kg category.

James Parker (SKK JC) triumphed in the -55kg category, building on his third-place finish at last year’s British Championships.

Zachary Robbins (Leicester JA) took gold in the -60kg category, adding to his strong season, which included a third-place finish at the European Hopes Cup in Riga in the -55kg division.

In the -66kg category, Michal Alaszkiewicz (Core Judo) emerged victorious, showcasing significant improvement from last year’s third-place finish in the -55kg category.

Dean Gigg (Rei JA) clinched the gold medal in the -73kg category.

Finally, Najati El-Amirl (Core Judo) captured gold in the +73kg category, rounding off the competition in style.
