Boodles launches two new pink diamond rings

Boodles has unveiled two new pink diamond rings, namely The Eternal Pink and The Candyfloss Pink.

The Eternal Pink ring features a 2.06-carat pink diamond and boasts exceptional VS clarity – a “rarity” in pink diamonds, paired with a super vivid candyfloss hue.

Flanked by a pair of pink diamonds, the central stone is framed with a fine rim of rose gold to “accentuate its colour and shape”, further enhanced by a double surround of white diamonds.

Jody Wainwright, Boodles managing director, first heard about this rough diamond at the end of 2023 through two brothers he has worked with for years – one sources rough diamonds, and the other oversees the polishing.

Over the last few years, the group has bought some “remarkable” stones from them, including a 10-carat pink diamond, a large heart-shaped diamond and one or two blues.

This particular rough weighed almost 30 carats and produced four principal stones along with several smaller ones. The key stones were a 3 carat, a 2 carat, and a matching pair of 1 carat diamonds – all vivid.

The 2 carat stone, the one Wainwright was first told about, was described as ‘super vivid.’ Weighing 2.06 carats, it’s the stone Boodles just acquired.

Meanwhile, the second diamond pink ring is a 2.02 carat fancy intense pink diamond that has a colour that’s described as ‘candyfloss’ or ‘hubba-bubba’ pink.

Designers chose to set the stone in one of Boodles’ iconic designs, a modern twist on Art Deco – a style the group is celebrating this year.

The 2.02-carat intense pink diamond is surrounded by a halo of white round brilliant-cut and baguette-cut diamonds, set in pink Single Mine Origin gold and platinum.

The surrounding pink and white diamonds include calibrated baguette cuts, each cut to precision to fit “perfectly” into the design. Additionally, the ring features an accent of white enamel and delicate white diamonds on the inside of the ring.

Wainwright said: “It’s not just the colour of this pink diamond that makes it remarkable; it’s the combination of a big look, beautiful clarity, and a rich, vibrant hue. A diamond like this doesn’t come along very often.”
