Rays Opening Day 2025 moved to Friday, March 28
MLB moved Opening Day from Thursday March 27 to Friday March 28, to provide additional time to prepare the ballpark for the Rays home opener.

The countdown to the 2025 Tampa Bay Rays season begins in 63 days with pitchers and catchers reporting to Charlotte Sports Park in Port Charlotte on February 10.
The regular season opener is Friday, March 28 at 4:10 p.m. at George M. Steinbrenner Field in Tampa, the spring training home of the New York Yankees. MLB moved Opening Day from Thursday March 27 to Friday March 28, to provide additional time to prepare the ballpark for the Rays home opener.
The Rays will move into the facility at the conclusion of spring training when the Yankees head north for Opening Day. Tampa Bay will play home games at Steinbrenner Field throughout the 2025 Major League Baseball regular season.

The Yankees will continue to play spring training games at Steinbrenner Field in 2025 and will utilize the full complex, including training areas and the adjacent fields.
