Duke Rolls By Virginia Tech, 81-59
In a nice bounce back from the loss at South Carolina
Duke came back after losing at South Carolina mad and someone had to pay. As it turned out, that was Virginia Tech as the Blue Devils blew them out, 81-59.
Duke won every quarter except the third and lost that one by just one point. The Blue Devils forced 18 turnovers and held Virginia Tech to 43.6 percent overall and just 14.3 percent for threes. The Hokies managed to assist on just seven of 24 attempts.
Immensely promising freshman Toby Fournier had a tremendous game with 27 points and nine rebounds. Oluchi Okananwa had a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Delaney Thomas added 12.
It was a solid bounce-back for the Blue Devils. Next up for Duke is a visit from Wofford on Wednesday and a chance to move to 10-2.
