Buffalo man arraigned in connection with fatal September shooting
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- A Buffalo man was arraigned Monday morning on an indictment charging him with murder following a fatal shooting that occurred at a party three months ago, the Erie County District Attorney's Office announced.
Alfonzo Quinney, 48, allegedly shot Elijah Mingo, 28, on the 100 block of Northland Avenue with an illegal gun during an argument, officials said. The incident occurred late on the night of Sept. 6 at some type of party.
The victim was declared deceased at the scene.
Quinney was charged with second-degree murder and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon. He was held without bail and faces a maximum of 25 years to life in prison if convicted.
Sentencing has yet to be scheduled.
