Trump names Kimberly Guilfoyle ambassador to Greece

President-elect Trump named Kimberly Guilfoyle the ambassador to Greece in his upcoming administration.

Guilfoyle is a former Fox News personality and has been a staple of the Trump family for years since she previously was in a relationship with Donald Trump Jr. The two reportedly have broken up.

“For many years, Kimberly has been a close friend and ally. Her extensive experience and leadership in law, media, and politics along with her sharp intellect make her supremely qualified to represent the United States, and safeguard its interests abroad,” Trump said in a post on Truth Social on Tuesday.

He added, “Kimberly is perfectly suited to foster strong bilateral relations with Greece, advancing our interests on issues ranging from defense cooperation to trade and economic innovation.”

Guilfoyle spoke at the Republican National Convention in July and has been a staunch ally to the president-elect. She began dating Trump’s son in 2018 after his divorce from his ex-wife, Vanessa, and she previously was married to now- California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D). The two got divorced in 2005.

During the 2020 campaign, she was national chairwoman of the Trump Victory Finance Committee, which was the joint fundraising effort between the campaign and the Republican National Committee (RNC). She also served as a senior adviser for the campaign.
