Additional ‘New Year’s Rockin’ Eve’ performers revealed: Alanis Morissette, Blake Shelton, Luis Fonsi …
“New Year’s Rockin’ Eve,” which has been hosted by Ryan Seacrest for 20 years now, will count down to 2025 on ABC on Dec. 31, starting at 8:00pm Eastern, but he and Times Square co-host Rita Ora won’t be the only ones on hand. They will be joined by a number of musical guests, and that guest list is growing.
Rocker Alanis Morissette will perform multiple times as she rings in the 30th anniversary of her landmark 1995 album “Jagged Little Pill”; that will include a special performance of “You Oughta Know” with special guest Reneé Rapp. And speaking of 30th anniversaries, TLC will perform in celebration of their 1994 hit album “CrazySexyCool.”
Out in Las Vegas, chart-topping country star Blake Shelton will perform a collection of his hits as well as “Texas,” his first solo song in two years. Fellow country music performer Dasha is set to perform at this event for the first time with a rendition of her breakthrough hit “Austin (Boots Stop Workin’).” The country love fest continues with Ernest performing “Why Dallas” as well as the crossover hit “I Had Some Help,” which he co-wrote and for which he’s nominated for a Grammy for Best Country Song. And Hardy will deliver a medley of “Psycho” and “Truck Bed.”
DJ Cassidy will bring the popular “Pass the Mic Live!” Las Vegas residency to “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” with rappers Ja Rule, Fat Joe, Slick Rick, and Doug E. Fresh. There will also be a blast from the past from Kesha, who will celebrate 15 years since her breakthrough dance pop hit “Tik Tok,” while Natasha Bedingfield will perform “Unwritten” in honor of that song’s 20th anniversary. Jazz pop Grammy winner Laufey will perform her song “From the Start.” Luis Fonsi will perform a medley of songs from his native Puerto Rico. And T-Pain will take the stage for two medleys of his greatest hits.
