Trump Nominates ‘Close Friend and Ally’ Kimberly Guilfoyle as U.S. Ambassador to Greece
Donald Trump has announced that his future daughter-in-law Kimberly Guilfoyle will serve as his ambassador to Greece.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump described Guilfoyle, who is the fiancée of his son Donald Trump Jr., as a “close friend and ally” who would successfully represent U.S. interests abroad.
“Today, I am very pleased to announce the appointment of Kimberly Guilfoyle as the United States Ambassador to Greece. For many years, Kimberly has been a close friend and ally,” he wrote.
“Her extensive experience and leadership in law, media, and politics along with her sharp intellect make her supremely qualified to represent the United States, and safeguard its interests abroad.”
“Kimberly is perfectly suited to foster strong bilateral relations with Greece, advancing our interests on issues ranging from defense cooperation to trade and economic innovation,” he continued.
Guilfoyle responded to the announcement on her own social media.
“I’m honored to accept President Trump’s nomination to serve as the next Ambassador to Greece and I look forward to earning the support of the U.S. Senate,” she wrote.
“As ambassador, I look forward to delivering on the Trump agenda, supporting our Greek allies, and ushering in a new era of peace and prosperity.”

A former prosecutor in San Francisco and Los Angeles, Guilfoyle was once married to current California Governor Gavin Newsom.
However, the couple divorced in 2006 and she has since had a successful career as a television host.
Since entering a relationship with Don Jr., Guilfoyle has been a staunch ally of the Trump movement and has been involved with his political campaigns.
