Halsey’s Working to Bring Her Bloodlust to Prime Video
Halsey has been marked safe from another negative Pitchfork review … of this upcoming project, at least. That’s because the singer-songwriter is working in a different medium: TV. Per Variety, she’s currently developing a dark comedy series called Bloodlust for Amazon Prime Video. While Halsey won’t be in the cast, they’ll be keeping plenty busy as creator, writer, and executive producer of the show. Ti West is reportedly set to direct and executive produce, making this a MaXXXine reunion (Halsey played Tabby Martin in West’s horror film). Severance executive producer Mark Friedman will also serve as showrunner and executive produce alongside Halsey’s manager, Anthony Li.
“very excited to embark on this journey with some of the best people that I know. more to say later. for now, there’s work to do ????,” Halsey wrote in an Instagram post sharing the news. For now, we’re still waiting for more details about the plot, cast, and release date. And only time will tell if Halsey will feel like any TV critics are unfairly out for blood.
