I know from bitter personal experience that sometimes a break is not the worst thing in the world a couple of times i've been told "bad news , you haven't broken it " which has meant a lot more time out getting back to normal
True that ligament damage can be worse than a break and take longer. Hopefully for Cochrane ligaments aren’t involved and it’s just a bad cut to heal.
