Sixty Rajya Sabha MPs filed a privilege motion against Minister Kiren Rijiju. Rijiju made controversial remarks during the winter session. He stated the Opposition was not worthy of House membership. This followed a clash between the Rajya Sabha Chairman and the Opposition. The Opposition also initiated impeachment proceedings against the Vice-President. Rijiju defended the Chairman and criticized the Opposition.
