Duke Picks Up QB Darian Mensah In The Portal
That was fast.
Duke lost Maalik Murphy to the portal transfer just a year after he came to Durham but if the portal taketh away, it also giveth: Tulane QB Darian Mensah, who is seen by many as a future pro, committed to Duke Wednesday.
Mensah put up 2,723 yards and 22 touchdowns while completing 65.9 percent of his passes and throwing just six interceptions all season.
Best of all, he’s got three years of eligibility left.
As we saw with Murphy, there’s no guarantee he’ll spend all three at Duke, but one can hope. It’s certainly a promising development and a nice boost after Murphy’s departure.
