Lisa Kudrow Just Revealed Interesting Detail About Friendship With 'Friends' Castmates

The Friends theme song famously proclaimed “Ill be there for you” but, it turns out, that outside of the famous sitcom, the stars of Friends weren’t really hanging out all the time. In a new interview on the podcast Dinner’s On Me, Kudrow opened-up about just how many times she met-up with her Friends co-stars after the show completed its run in 2004.

Although there was a complete, and very public cast reunion in 2019, Kudrow said in the new interviews that the only time that all six actors had met up together after the show concluded was “once before.”

This isn’t to say that Kudrow didn’t like her co-stars—she makes it clear that she does—it was just that all the cast members meeting up for dinner in the years after the show ended wasn’t in the cards. "It was 10 years [later]. It was like we didn’t miss a beat. Just us at someone’s house and had dinner and, like, didn’t miss a beat."

Kudrow also mentioned that the experience of re-watching the show, now, felt like a "grieving" process following the death of Matthew Perry in 2023. Though she’s not averse to rewatching the show, she emphasized that she doesn’t seek-out reruns of Friends. She said that she would watch the show if it was already on, but was worried about getting caught doing so. "If, God forbid, anybody walked into my house and saw me watching my show, I’d be mortified," she said.

Kudrow stars alongside Ray Romano in a new Netflix dark comedy called No Good Deed. The show focuses on people fighting to to try and buy the same house. No Good Deed hit just Netflix. Meanwhile, Friends streams on Max.
