GLOVERSVILLE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The U.S. Attorney's Office announced that Lamont McWhite, 51, of Gloversville, was sentenced on Thursday to 10 years in prison in a drug trafficking case. McWhite pleaded guilty back in April.

As part of his plea, McWhite admitted to selling cocaine four separate times between June and August of 2022. He also confessed that in December 2022, he had felony quantities of several drugs that he intended to distribute, including over 10 ounces of meth, over one pound of cocaine, around one and a half ounces of crack cocaine, and more than one ounce of fentanyl.

In addition to his prison time, McWhite was ordered to serve a five-year term of probation following his release. The case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
