Man dies nearly 2 weeks after being struck by vehicle

AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Austin Police Department said a man died nearly two weeks after being hit by a car.
APD said officers responded Nov. 23 to the intersection of West Koenig Lane and Allandale Road for a crash involving a pedestrian and a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene, cooperated and was not impaired, according to APD.
Police said the pedestrian was taken to the hospital where he later died Dec. 6. APD has not identified the pedestrian or the driver.
APD said the incident was being investigated as Austin’s 84th fatal crash of 2024.
