FORECAST DISCUSSION:
Good Thursday Evening,
It has been a cold afternoon with the possibly the top 5/6 coldest high temps for the entire year. Temps may tip up a degree or two tonight ahead of midnight, so this stat will likely need to be updated with tomorrow's climate report. Snow showers will work into our area this evening, and pass through before 1am on Friday morning, with most areas that get snow flurries picking up well under a half inch. But because it is so cold, it will likely stick.
Overnight will be mainly cloudy with lows dropping to the teens north, to lower to mid 20s from the city and on south. Friday expect partly sunny skies, with some sunshine, which will likely be our most over the next week, with highs in the middle 30s. We will warm to the mid 40s on Saturday, above normal, with cloudy skies. Rain will return late on Saturday into the overnight into Sunday with highs Sunday back in the middle 40s.
Rain showers will be back for another round on Monday with very mild temps back into the middle 50s. Showers should end before daybreak on Tuesday, but more clouds are expected with highs in the upper 40s. Clouds will be the rule next Wednesday as well, with highs in the middle 40s and showers returning late. We will have cold rain showers in the area next Thursday too, with highs in the middle 30s.
