Ashanti Rocks All Black Look With Jennifer Le Boots to Film New Reality Show With Husband Nelly
Ashanti is preparing for a new facet of her life and she’s stepping into it in style. Earlier this year, it was reported that the “Happy” singer and her husband Nelly had landed their own reality show, and were set to begin production for the series in his hometown, St. Louis.
Now her stylist, Tim B, has taken to Instagram to show off one of the looks the singer wore while filming, which showcased the new mom’s hourglass figure and her knack for fashion. According to her stylist, Ashanti wore a long, sheer Helsa Studio dress from Revolve with a pair of tall black leather boots by Jennifer Le. The R&B star wore the off the shoulder ensemble with a body suit underneath, which highlighted her frame, and topped off the look Balmain earrings.

For her footwear, she seemingly opted for a pair of I am Jennifer Le’s Black x Silver Mercury boot, which retails for $549. The stretch thigh high boot was mostly covered by her long dress, so the unique sculptural silver heel wasn’t fully visible. The boots are made from leather, they feature an inner side zipper and heel that measures a whopping 110cm.
Ashanti is a loyal fan of the designer’s boots, especially her boots, and has worn them often during public appearances and performances. She has worn this particular pair previously. She attended the opening of BACARDÍ Vintage: Celebrating 50 Years of Hip-Hop with MTV in September 2023 wearing the boots with a matching leather dress and moto-inspired green and black jacket.
Jennifer Le launched her eponymous label, IAMJENNIFERLE in 2014. The brand uses a direct to consumer shopping experience, and her pieces cannot be found in any boutique or department store and are sold exclusively on her website and at her Flagship store in Toronto.
In addition to Ashanti, Le counts on other big names who have worn her shoes and apparel, which she often features on the brand’s Instagram page. Stars like Beyoncé, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Cardi B, Mary J. Blige, Lil’ Kim, Yung Miami and Kylie Jenner have been spotted wearing her various styles.
