ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Happy Friday! Meteorologist Matt Mackie says there will be lots of sunshine but it will be very chilly with temperatures barely reaching the 30s.

Village officials provided an update on the state of emergency and water conservation efforts in Whitehall on Thursday. Also, Pine Hills Land Authority won the bid for St. Rose's campus. These stories, and more, are in your five things to know this Friday.

1. Officials provide update on Whitehall state of emergency

The village of Whitehall released an update on the state of emergency and boil water advisory where it said that water has returned to the village, but it is still in a water deficit. The state of emergency, boil water advisory, and water conservation restrictions remain in place.

2. Pine Hills Land Authority wins bid for St. Rose campus

A new beginning is underway for the College of Saint Rose. The Pine Hills Land Authority won the auction for the campus with a $35 million bid. 

3. Bicyclist struck, killed in front of Lake George Outlets

One person has died after being struck by a car. The collision took place around 8 p.m. Thursday on Route 9 in front of the Lake George Outlets.

4. Bethlehem voters strike down $37M project to renovate library

A proposal to renovate and expand the Bethlehem Town Library was defeated on Thursday. The unofficial numbers from the library’s board of trustees said there were 3,213 votes against and 1,636 votes in favor. There are still 529 absentee ballots to be counted.

5. Police asking for public’s help locating missing Cobleskill student

Police are looking for a missing SUNY Cobleskill student and are asking for the public’s help in locating him. 18-year-old John Koscinski was last seen on the SUNY Cobleskill campus at approximately 1 p.m. on Wednesday, December 11.
