Say kids, you wouldn’t happen to have a cup of warm water, would you?

If this guy knew the quote ‘Oh look, frost’, he certainly wouldn’t have done this.

He thought it was a good idea to try and lick a huge block of ice at a shopping mall in Sydney, Australia. Just like one of the most famous scenes from Dumb and Dumber.

A security guard came over to try and free him using water on his tongue. This failed.

With the crowds gathering, things got a bit awkward, but he managed to keep his cool (sorry).

V Energy, the company that put the sculpture in place to promote its Refresh drinks, wants to contact the man after his antics went viral.

A spokesman said: ‘We never thought we’d have to say this, but don’t lick ice sculptures in public. Drink V Refresh instead.

‘To the Pitt Street licker, drop us a DM @venergyaus. We have a present for you.’

Unsurprisingly, people on social media were less than sympathetic.

One wrote: ‘He’s got the Dumb and Dumber haircut and everything.’

Some, however, questioned whether it was a publicity stunt, with a few pointing out it’s hot in Australia right now, making it unusual for someone’s tongue to stick to ice.

One person posted: ‘How can you get your tongue stuck in 30 degree heat.’

While another added: ‘Yeah it’s not that cold outside, this generally happens in sub zero weather where the ice isn’t melting.

‘Dude could literally use the warmth from his hands to melt his tongue off if the 30 degree weather doesn’t do it first.’
