Two elderly Bangladeshi women were arrested by the BSF in West Bengal for illegally crossing the Indo-Bangladesh border. Driven by fear of persecution and violence against minorities in Bangladesh, they sought refuge in India. One woman's son, who had previously migrated to India, pleaded for his mother to be allowed to stay with him.
