Winter weather advisory for the possibility of freezing drizzle in North Kansas
What We’re Tracking
- Rain tonight into Saturday
- Warming up by Sunday
- Mild start of week
WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY has been issued until 9PM tonight for areas along and North of the Nebraska border. Freezing drizzle will leave slick spots on roads and highways. It’s more likely the further north you go, especially around highway 36. Luckily, temperatures will warm up above freezing pretty quickly, so the freezing drizzle should only last for an hour or two.
Rain chances will return for tonight, moving in from the southwest and picking up heavier towards the east. Showers will start to dry out Saturday midday. Right now we are tracking a trace to 0.25" of rainfall by Saturday afternoon.
Temperatures will begin to warm into the upper 40s by Saturday afternoon. Even warmer weather is expected for Sunday through Tuesday as temperatures jump into the mid 50s. A cold front will move in on Tuesday night, knocking temperatures from low 50s to upper 30s Wednesday afternoon.
