Urgent hunt for thieves who fled luxury store with £200,000 of goods

Thieves made off with £200,000 worth of goods after raiding a luxury store in north London.

Luxury handbags and watches were among the haul burgled from a shop on Bunns Lane, Mill Hill, in north London, after 10.30pm on Tuesday, December 3.

CCTV released today shows one of the pair peeking around a door marked as an emergency exit before both entered the hallway with carrier bags.

Both were clad in dark clothes, face masks, gloves, and their hoods up.

They then forced their way through a door using feet and a tool. Three minutes later, they re-emerged, their bags stuff with an estimated £200,000 worth of luxury handbags and watches.

Among them were a vintage 1957 Hermes Kelly 28 Miel Crocodile bag, valued at over £11,000, an olive green Hermes Kelly costing £8,000, and a black Chanel mock alligator-skin bag worth in excess of £4,000.

The owner of Eveyspreloved, 57-year-old Evey Amery, told MailOnline: ”It was clearly targeted because you can see on the CCTV that the robbers knew where they were going and where the products were.’

She added: ‘I’ve always been so worried about security and weirdly relocated the room where I store the bags just eight days before the burglary.’

Although the robbers’ faces were covered during the raid, police have released CCTV images of two men spotted on the street earlier that day.

One is wearing a black puffer jacket and has short dark hair. The other has a black top over a grey hoodie, with its hood up.

Both appear to have facial hair.

Detective Sergeant Joe Halsey said: ‘I would ask people to look at these images and see if they recognise the two men shown.

‘They were taken in Bunns Lane earlier on the day of the theft.

‘The owner of the business is understandably distraught by what has happened and we need assistance to apprehend those responsible.

‘At this time we are working to establish whether this burglary is linked to any others.’
