Rappler Talk: Animal welfare advocate Anna Cabrera is now a lawyer

MANILA, Philippines – Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) Executive Director Anna Cabrera added another feather to her cap. She is now among the new lawyers who passed the 2024 Bar Examinations chaired by Supreme Court Associate Justice Mario Lopez.

She has been fighting for animal rights for decades, but Cabrera took the leap in 2018 and entered the University of the Philippines College of Law. After juggling her work, family life, and law school, she finally graduated in 2024 and immediately hurdled the Bar.

But how can her new title help her further defend animals in PAWS?
