Ipswich's Jack Taylor (3 replies)

His injury time winner meant he joined Sammie Smodzics (also at Ipswich atm) and a few others in having scored in all of the top five leagues in this country. According to this article Ipswich also have Sam Morsy and Conor Chaplin who have now scored in the top four leagues in this country.

Got me thinking - we'd obviously love to "do an Ipswich" and get back to back promotions. However, we've recruited completely differently to them. Ipswich spent the last two seasons mainly recruiting the better players from the lower leagues, whereas this summer we actually only signed Alfie May from below the Championship and recruited just ad much from outside English football as we have from clubs in England.

Is there a "better" or "worse" way of doing things? The only thing I would say is that whilst we have put together one heck of a side for this level we will have blown a heck of a lot more money in doing so than Ipswich have done.
