- The Oa- excuse me, the Athletics are continuing to add starting pitching by sending a pretty nice haul to the Tampa Bay Rays for left-hander Jeffrey Springs.
The Rays are trading Jeffrey Springs to the Athletics for RHPs Joe Boyle and Jacob Watters, OF Will Simpson and a compensation A round draft pick, per source. One more player will be headed to the A’s in the deal, as well. @JeffPassan was on it.

The Rangers are signing catcher Tucker Barnhart to a minor-league contract, source said. The deal, which includes an invite to spring training, pays $1 million if he’s in the majors.
