'Never again': MAGA attorney threatens 'attitude adjustment' for senators opposing Trump

Republican Sen. Thom Tillis of North Carolina stirred things up in MAGA world over the weekend when he suggested that Donald Trump's current strategy for backing his nominees could backfire.

Tillis gave an interview with Fox News, during which he spoke out about Trump's pressure campaign to get his controversial nominees, such as Kash Patel and Tulsi Gabbard and Pete Hegseth, confirmed. Tillis said it's a risky strategy that could come back to bite the incoming president.

Tillis reportedly said the maneuvering will "run a lot of risks," "including the possibility of backfiring on its very purpose."

Enter former GOP staffer Mike Davis, who made headlines for his social media comments in the past, and was rumored to be on Trump's list for attorney general. Last month, Davis threatened to make Senate Republicans' "political lives hell" if they weaken Kash Patel's path toward being confirmed.

On Sunday, Davis responded to news that Tillis had issued the warning about the purported pressure campaign.

Davis began by claiming that he likes Tillis "a lot."

"But I strongly disagree with him that conservatives should back down on President Trump’s nominees," Davis wrote, before plugging his own legal group, Article III Project. His group, Davis added, "will continue to give senators an attitude adjustment."

"I witnessed their weakness last time. Never again," Davis said on X, formerly called Twitter.
