Katy Perry Addresses Crowd Leaving During NYC Jingle Ball Set, Fans Explain Why They Had to Leave
Katy Perry closed out the 2024 Jingle Ball concert on Friday night (December 13) at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
The 40-year-old singer took the stage as the final act of the night and unfortunately, during her set the arena started to empty as fans left before the concert ended.
While on stage, Katy addressed the crowd leaving, and fans later shared on TikTok why they had to go early.

“Hi everyone. I know, I know, it’s crazy. It’s so late, it’s so cold outside. You had way too much sugar,” Katy said. “You don’t know whether to stay or go, or be in or out, or hot or cold. Just make up your mind then!”
So, why were people leaving early during Katy Perry‘s set? Turns out, they were just trying to make sure to catch the last trains!
While Katy performed at the end of the night, the last trains out of the city were about to leave and everyone was rushing to get on them. One fan even commented on TikTok that she stayed through to the end of the concert and was stranded in NYC until 4am!
Also hitting the stage that night included Tate McRae, Teddy Swims, Benson Boone, Meghan Trainor, Madison Beer, Shaboozey, The Kid LAROI, Twenty One Pilots, Jimmy Fallon and NCT Dream.
