Man, 72, shoved onto subway tracks in Manhattan station: NYPD

MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) -- A 72-year-old man was pushed onto the subway tracks Sunday afternoon, according to the NYPD.

The incident happened around 12:14 p.m. at the 34th Street Herald Square subway station.

The victim was standing on the northbound F line platform when an unidentified individual pushed him onto the tracks, police say.

The victim sustained a laceration to the head and soreness. He was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.

The NYPD released surveillance photos of the suspect who fled the scene.
