Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin laid the foundation stone for a Rs 1,500 crore Taiwanese footwear manufacturing plant in Ranipet district. The project by Hong Fu, the world's second-largest non-leather footwear manufacturer, is expected to create 25,000 jobs. The plant will be built on 200 acres and produce footwear for international brands.
