Quirky fort tower that looks like it belongs in Game Of Thrones is crowned one of most popular places to stay this year
A COSY fort that looks like something from a fantasy novel is one of the most popular stays in the UK.
Canopy & Stars has revealed their most booked destinations as part of their 2025 Glamping Report.
And Bracken Tower in Wales was revealed as one of their most in demand rentals.
The tower has its own kitchen as well as a BBQ grill over the firepit.
Guests are greeted with a welcome hamper made up of local treats, although there are nearby pubs and shops for more food runs.
A hot tub and sauna are perfect for the winter season, although there is also the cold plunge tub for the brave.
And inside the stone tower is a lounge space, with a large deck allowing for stargazing.
It sleeps up to five people with a king-size bed, single bed and double base bunk bed.
The tower starts from £264 a night, a bargain if there is five of you.
People have raved about it being off the beaten track with no light pollution due to its secluded nature.
Make sure to pack your torches and wellies though – being so rural means you will have to be prepared if arriving at night.
One previous guest wrote: “It was magical for the 3 & 5 year old and just super for us adults.”
Another agreed: “Remote, quiet and had everything needed for a relaxing weekend.”
Also popular stays according to the glamping report were were a treehouse in Cumbria and a double decker bus in Lincolnshire.
The report said: “This year, the top-performing sites on Canopy & Stars were a double decker bus, a Roman-style fort and a magnificent treehouse.
“They confirm that nothing beats a place with unique magic, but with such impressive builds come high rates and financially cautious guests still want to see personality wherever they stay, or to spread the cost on a group trip.”
You can also stay in a fairytale English castle, with tower suites at Thornbury Castle.
Or there is a converted 19th century train carriage on the West Sussex coastline.
