Voorheesville community takes part in Shine Bright

VOORHEESVILLE, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- Students, teachers, and residents of the Voorheesville Central School District are highlighting the importance of relationships during this seasonally dark time of year. Shine Bright: Unite through Light is on Wednesday, December 18.

From wearing bright colors during the school day to leaving the porch light on, the community can come together to celebrate the power of connection. The Vorheesville Central School District Counseling Department organized the event for the shortened daylight of December.

Students and staff can support one another by wearing bright colors to school on Wednesday. During the evening on Wednesday, community members can participate in Shine Bright by turning on an outside light to celebrate being a light for others.
