15-year-old girl identified as shooter who killed 2 at Wisconsin school: officials
A 15-year-old student has been identified by officials as the shooter who opened fire Monday morning at a Madison, Wisconsin, school, killing two people and leaving several others wounded.
Natalie Rupnow, who went by the name Samantha, was a student at the school and was identified Monday night by police Chief Shon Barnes.
A second-grader called 9-1-1 to report the shooting at Abundant Life Christian School just before 11 a.m., Barnes said. Officers arrived to find multiple people suffering from gunshot wounds.

A teacher and student were slain, and preliminary evidence showed the shooter, who used a 9 mm handgun, turned the gun on herself. She died on the way to a hospital. Her official cause of death will be determined.
Six other students and a teacher were injured, Barnes said. Two students remain critically wounded with life-threatening injuries.
The shooting happened in a classroom during a study hall with children from multiple grades, he said.
Authorities have not verified rumors of a social media account, Barnes added.
