'You will be pursued': Dem vows to find perp who spray-painted swastika on his synagogue
A Minnesota Democrat vowed on social media Monday night that the person responsible for anti-semitic graffiti at his synagogue will be located and serve time behind bars.
"To whomever did this to my synagogue in Mpls this morning, you will be pursued, you will be arrested, and I hope you spend the full 5 years behind bars - albeit it in a prison that will seem like a Ritz Carlton compared to the Nazi concentration camp you deserve," wrote Rep. Dean Phillips on X.
Phillips, who announced last year he would not seek re-election, attached a photo of a red swastika painted on a column of the synagogue.

Phillips' stark promise earned praise from Richard Painter, a law professor and former chief White House ethics lawyer.
"Congressman @deanbphillips watched his synagogue in Minneapolis get defaced with terrorist threats. At least he knows how to respond. What about the rest of us?" wrote Painter.
In a reply to Phillips, Painter said, "We need to enforce the law in Minnesota. Whomever did this is a danger to the public and belongs behind bars."
There has been a significant rise in antisemitism in the United States. The Anti-Defamation League reported a record-breaking surge in antisemitic incidents, with over 10,000 occurrences recorded between Oct. 7, 2023, and Sept. 24, 2024. This represents an increase of more than 200 percent compared to the same period the previous year.
