Vikings Honor Randy Moss During Hall Of Famer’s Cancer Battle

Randy Moss has the NFL community behind him as he continues his battle after a cancer diagnosis.

Moss recently went live on Instagram to discuss his diagnosis upon being discharged from the hospital. Moss is in the midst of medical leave from his analyst job with ESPN as he takes care of his health. ESPN’s Monday Night Football broadcast aired a tribute to Moss from the team he spent more time with than any other in the Minnesota Vikings.

Vikings legends Jake Reed and Cris Carter walked a purple Moss jersey to midfield for the opening coin toss as Minnesota hosted the Chicago Bears. The Vikings rolled early on, and star wideout Justin Jefferson celebrated and yelled, “We love you, Randy!” after his first-quarter touchdown catch, which the 47-year-old reposted on X.

Moss played eight seasons with the Vikings and hauled in 92 touchdowns in that span. He continued his career with the Oakland Raiders, New England Patriots, Tennessee Titans and the San Francisco 49ers.

Moss retired after the 2012 campaign and got enshrined into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2018.
