Pokemon TCG Pocket crashes leaving players ‘so mad’ after Mythical Island update
POKEMON TCG Pocket users have complained that the game is crashing after downloading the new Mythical Island expansion.
The update is the first of its kind for the hugely popular mobile game, which launched at the end of October.
Pokemon TCG Pocket has already been downloaded a whooping 30million times.
But the refresh hasn’t come without its problems as multiple users claim the game is crashing since updating.
It appears to be down to a serve issue.
A screenshot shared by players read warns of an “authentication error”.
“The server authentication process failed,” it reads.
“The game will restart now.”
However, it’s not clear how widespread the issue may be.
Server problems often occur with online game updates as engineers roll out new features and software, especially with popular titles.
Users have taken to social media to find out what is going on.
“pokemon tcg pocket crashing was inevitable,” one wrote on X.
“I’m so mad right now,” another commented.
The Mythical Island expansion comes with more than 80 cards.
There’s also five new Pokémon ex cards, including Mew, Celebi and Aerodactyl, as well as five new Trainer cards.
