Sebi has introduced a new asset class called 'Specialized Investment Fund' (SIF). SIFs can accept investments of Rs 10 lakh or more and offer various investment strategies. Fund managers of SIFs must have relevant NISM certifications. SIFs are subject to specific investment restrictions and fee guidelines.
