ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Happy Tuesday! Meteorologist Matt Mackie says temperatures will be mild, peaking at 50 degrees, and conditions will be breezy this Tuesday.
NEWS10's Vanessa Blasi spoke to law enforcement about recent drone spottings in the Capital Region. Also, the Saratoga City School District is trying to navigate the bus driver shortage and may bring a change to its scheduling in 2025. 1. What to know about drones: reported sightings across Capital Region
Reports of drone clusters in the sky have been spiraling across the East Coast, including in Albany and Saratoga Counties. Both sheriff’s offices said the sightings are concerning but there is no threat to the community as of right now.
2. Saratoga CSD navigating its bus driver schedule
5,745 students take the bus daily to Saratoga Springs City School. It’s thanks to just 69 bus drivers but the schedule is proving to be too much.
3. 7 bids submitted for Central Warehouse demolition
Plans to demolish the Central Warehouse in Albany are moving forward. Albany County leaders said they received seven bids for the project.
4. NY Shield Law put to the test for the first time
In a first-of-its-kind challenge, a New York doctor has been sued by the state of Texas after a prescription for abortion pills was made through telemedicine. The lawsuit alleges the doctor violated Texas law, where abortion is illegal.
5. 15-year-old girl kills teacher and teenager at a Christian school in Wisconsin
A 15-year-old student opened fire inside a study hall at a small Christian school in Wisconsin, killing a teacher and teenager and prompting a swarm of police officers responding to a second grader’s 911 call.
