Don Jr. Wants People to Stop Taking ‘Cheap Shots’ at His Ex
Just last week, it was reported that Donald Trump Jr. had dumped fiancée Kimberly Guilfoyle because — to paraphrase — she was an uptight brunette who didn’t impress his dad. He has since moved onto Bettina Anderson, a blonde model from Palm Beach who is literally so chill. Despite all of that, Don Jr. doesn’t want us to think that he hates his ex. In fact, they have a “special bond” that was definitely not affected by the fact that Don Jr.’s new relationship timeline is a little murky.
“Kimberly and I will never stop caring for each other and will always keep a special bond,” Don Jr. told “Page Six.” While he did not confirm their breakup to the tabloid, he did sing her praises. “I could not be more proud of her and the important role she’ll continue to play in my father’s administration.”
Shortly after rumors of their breakup began bubbling up, it was announced that Guilfoyle was Donald Trump’s pick to be ambassador to Greece. With his ex set to move thousands of miles away on a sort of government subsidized Eat, Pray, Love situation, Don Jr. can now be more public with Anderson. It’s a win-win for most parties (TBD on how it shakes out for Greek-American relations).
Guilfoyle has not yet commented on the end of her six-year relationship, but Don Jr. made sure to stand up for her. You know, like a true gentleman. “Anyone taking baseless and petty fake news cheap shots at her in the tabloids is just embarrassing themselves,” he said. From where I’m standing, it seems like he’s the one who has caused any and all embarrassment here. But maybe I just don’t know what a special bond really looks like.
