The 'spy' in question had dealings with former prime ministers
Whether you like Prince Andrew or not – and most people don’t like him, it seems to me – I think it is morally wrong for him to be separated from his family at Christmas (Metro, Tue) for what is an incident with an alleged Chinese spy.

Prince Andrew is yet again embroiled in scandal, this time with a Chinese spy.
How can we be expected to believe that Andrew did not discuss sensitive issues with the spy.
He knew him since 2012 and we are all aware of Andrew’s previous friendship with a sex offender.
This hardly reassures us that the Prince has great perception when choosing friends.
Isn’t it time Charles slung him out of Royal Lodge and Andrew had a taste of making a living for himself like the rest of us? Molly Neville, Sheffield
Do UK pensioners need humanitarian aid too?
So the government are sending £50million of humanitarian aid to Syria. At the same time British pensioners starve and freeze and we see not much in the way of humanitarian aid.

Filthy passenger habits
A smoker was fined £800 for littering (Metro, Fri). Such fines should be extended to bus passengers who soil bus seats by resting their feet on seats with their dirty footwear despite clear notices to the contrary.
Drivers should be empowered to deal with such unsocial behaviour given the findings from ‘Mr Carpet Clean’ (Metro, Mon), highlighting how much filth passengers are picking up on public transport nowadays. Victor Vincent Mujakachi, Sheffield
Did woman who ‘milkshaked’ Nigel Farage get off too lightly?
Victoria Thomas Bowen hurled a drink at Nigel Farage in Essex, a serious assault and she could have blinded him. She was charged and taken to court and given a suspended sentence (Metro, Tue). What on earth is happening to justice in this country?
As we all know, a suspended sentence means you have virtually got away with the charge, and she will no doubt be out celebrating this ineffective decision.
The UK is the laughing stock of the world regarding such weak sentences for serious offences. Nick Smith, London
