Trump needs elite military unit protection from 'bowels of Hell': GOP lawmaker
A New Jersey Republican said he doesn’t think the Secret Service is enough to protect President-elect Donald Trump when he returns to the White House next month from what he believes lies ahead.
Rep. Jeff Van Drew said during an interview on the right-wing Benny Johnson Show on Tuesday that he speaks to Trump “on a pretty regular basis” and has told the incoming president – who has been the target of two assassination plots in the last five months – that he should be surrounded by his own elite group of guards.
“I tell him, ‘You should be so careful,’ and I believe, at this point, he should have his own elite group,” Van Drew said. “Whether it’s the Navy SEALs, Army Rangers whoever else – along with the Secret Service just to protect him – the bowels of Hell are going to be opened up against him.”

Van Drew added that the Republican Party’s vow to upend the federal government through proposals championed by Trump makes him a target.
“We are trying to make the most significant change – in a good way, in a good way – to our American government that has been made in modern history,” he said. “It’s a big deal and there’s going to be a lot of people who are going to want to stop it.”
Johnson then expressed his own fears about the mystery drones that “are flying over Bedminster,” where Trump owns a private golf club.
“They’re flying over his home – the dude lives in New Jersey for half the year," Johnson said. "So, the president lives in New Jersey and there are these aircraft that nobody’s been forthcoming with us about, what they are or where they’re from, and they’re flying over President Trump’s house – are we a real country?”
