A £2 Lidl buy can keep hands and feet warm for hours without touching the thermostat
LIDL shoppers have been rushing to get their hands on the £2 bargain buy that promises to keep you warm for hours.
Boasting up to eight hours of heat, the single use item could even cut the cost of your electricity bill.
The heated insoles offer up to six hours of heat and are available in sizes 3.5-6.5 and 7-10[/caption] The foot warmers have been described as 9.5 x 7 cm[/caption] The hand warmers come in one size, 9.5 x 5.5 cm[/caption]According to the supermarket giant’s website those looking for a discounted way of staying warm throughout the winter months have three options, all being sold at £1.49.
Fans of the foot or hand warmers could even save some of their pennies by opting to stock up using the current deal which offers two for £2.
Not only does this allow savvy savers to keep their feet and hands warm for a bit of loose change, but they could also nab heated insoles which are included in the deal.
Eagle-eyed bargain hunters may have noticed how they can make the most out of their money.
The hand warmers have been advertised as offering up to 10 hours of heat, a contrast to the foot warmers’ eight and insoles’ six.
This means those who prioritise purchasing the item which fits inside gloves and jacket pockets could cleverly gain an added eight hours of warmth for the same price.
While opting to purchase two of the ready to use hand warmers, a customer could use them for up to 20 hours.
A remarkable difference from the 12 hours that the heated insoles have to offer.
If you are hoping to nab the deal before Christmas you may want to take note as they have been advertised to go on sale in stores from Thursday.
It is not clear whether they will be available to purchase online.
All options boast a two-year warranty too.
Those without a Lidl site nearby could head to one of the alternative sites which have similar items ready to buy.
Boots appears to offer a pack of two HotHands Hand Warmers for just £1.
While those hoping to stock up before the New Year could look to Amazon which offers 50 for £19.49.
Tesco customers could also keep their eyes peeled for the pack of five for £7.99 or one for £1.
How do I calculate my energy bill?
BELOW we reveal how you can calculate your own energy bill.
To calculate how much you pay for your energy bill, you must find out your unit rate for gas and electricity and the standing charge for each fuel type.
The unit rate will usually be shown on your bill in p/kWh.The standing charge is a daily charge that is paid 365 days of the year – irrespective of whether or not you use any gas or electricity.
You will then need to note down your own annual energy usage from a previous bill.
Once you have these details, you can work out your gas and electricity costs separately.
Multiply your usage in kWh by the unit rate cost in p/kWh for the corresponding fuel type – this will give you your usage costs.
You’ll then need to multiply each standing charge by 365 and add this figure to the totals for your usage – this will then give you your annual costs.
Divide this figure by 12, and you’ll be able to determine how much you should expect to pay each month from April 1.
