The Khaki Field Murph originated as part of 2014’s Interstellar as a custom prop, with the 42mm version becoming available to the public in 2019. The success of that version led to the brand releasing a 38mm version in 2022 to accommodate the fan requests.

Now, Hamilton is bringing the popular field watch collection back to the forefront of the brand’s collections with two new variations of the 38mm. The first features a crisp white dial that contrasts with the black leather strap of the original 38mm. That paired with tan numerals makes for a watch that explores the entire realm of light to dark. The second, meanwhile, takes the original black dial and pairs it with a stainless-steel bracelet that provides added durability and versatility—two standards of the Swiss watchmaker.

The Murph is powered by the brand’s H-10 movement, featuring 80-hour reserve. It comes housed in a stainless-steel case and is 11.10mm thick, while measuring 44.7mm lug to lug. While features remain light, the nickeled hour and minute hands glow in the dark as well as the tip of the second hand, the watch does offer 100 meters of water resistance–and fancy features have never really mattered much to Hamilton fans.
Like other releases in the Hamilton lineup, the latest Hamilton Khaki Field Murph features the classic good looks, durability, and value that keeps fans coming back. These latest two versions are priced at $895 for the white face and black leather strap and $995 for the stainless-steel version.
