Slidin' Dirty relocating to Ophelia's in Albany
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Slidin' Dirty, which recently closed its location down in Troy, is relocating to Ophelia's on Broadway in Albany. The slider restaurant had rebranded to "Twisted Fiddler" in its final year but is now shifting back to the original name.
The restaurant will begin kitchen service at Ophelia's on Thursday. Chef Tim Taney and Manager Rob Tritto will be in seven days a week for lunch and dinner service with Ophelia's staff providing bar and wait service.
Taney decided in October to not renew the lease at the Troy space which was operated for a decade. With the relocation, Slidin' Dirty's menu will feature popular sliders and options from the Twisted Fiddler menu.
“There will be some full-size sandwiches and a few entries, but it’s going to be largely a Slidin’ Dirty menu,” Taney said. “We bringing back the classic sliders, our ‘Hall of Fame’ sliders.”
Ophelia's had its grand opening in October with a barroom, dining area, and a performance room. According to Taney, the minimum hours of kitchen operation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week.
Taney also noted that he hasn't pulled out of Troy completely and announcements will be made in the future.
