Biden Subjected This Father of 11 to SWAT-Style FBI Raid for Protesting Abortion: “I Broke No Laws”
Our Senior Counsel Steve Crampton and pro-life client and father of 11 Paul Vaughn just walked out of the halls of Congress, where they testified before a House Judiciary subcommittee, chaired by Congressman Chip Roy, on the weaponization of the FACE (Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances) Act.
In his testimony, Paul told the congressman the harrowing story of the early morning SWAT-style FBI raid on his home, in front of his wife and children, after which the Biden-Harris Department of Justice charged him with violating the FACE Act and the “Klu Klux Klan Act.”

Going into his federal trial, Paul faced over a decade in prison on these weaponized charges—for peacefully praying, singing hymns, witnessing for life, and speaking to law enforcement, during a March 2021 pro-life gathering at a now-defunct abortion facility in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee.
“I was not arrested the day of the event. I broke no laws, federal or local. In fact, we were expecting our 11th child, and I promised my wife I would stay out of any trouble,” Vaughn told the subcommittee.
That didn’t matter to the Biden-Harris DOJ. While he was not sentenced to prison time, Paul received three years supervised release and six months of house arrest… To attend today’s hearing, Paul had to seek permission from a federal judge to travel.

Also testifying before the congressional subcommittee, Steve Crampton highlighted how the Biden-Harris DOJ has abused the FACE Act to target peaceful pro-lifers with charges that carry potential federal prison sentences of more than a decade…
…All the Biden-Harris DOJ has “refused to prosecute almost any of the perpetrators of the hundreds of attacks on churches and pro-life pregnancy resource centers,” Crampton stated.
Crampton, in his testimony, also provided Congress with detailed legal analysis showing the legal weaknesses and unconstitutionality of the FACE Act, and how the Biden-DOJ’s combination of “KKK” Act charges to maximize jailtime for peaceful pro-lifers is also likely unconstitutional.
This Christmas, peaceful pro-lifers like Lauren Handy, Jean Marshall, Cal Zastrow, and others, and are unable to be with their families.
