Mexican regulators impose 10-year restrictions on Walmart

MEXICO CITY, Mexico: Mexico's Federal Competition Commission has imposed special conditions on Walmart's Mexico subsidiary for a 10-year period, citing allegations of supplier pressure and monopolistic practices.

The decision follows a US$4.6 million fine issued by the commission last week, which Walmart de Mexico has said it will appeal. The company has not yet commented on the latest announcement.
