Witnesses sought in fatal Gresham hit-and-run

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Police are seeking witnesses in a fatal hit-and-run crash in Gresham from earlier this month, authorities said.
The crash happened on December 7 just after midnight near Northeast Burnside Road and Northeast Cleveland Avenue, the Gresham Police Department said.
The person who died as a result of the crash was 50-year-old Ryan Winchester.
Officials said he was crossing Burnside Road when a passing vehicle struck him, then sped off. Winchester died at the scene.
Authorities are now asking any witnesses who saw the crash to come forward.
The investigation is ongoing.
