Dreaming of a wet Christmas? Portland's your spot
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The rainy weather is sticking around the Portland area, bringing nearly a half-inch of rain by the end of Sunday.
Daytime highs will sit in the low-50s through Tuesday around the metro area, while morning lows are nice and mild in the low- to mid-40s.
Over the next two days, snow elevation levels are back down between 4,000 feet or 4,500 feet, but snow accumulation will be minimal for many of the ski resorts which only expect 1-3 inches of new snow at Mt. Hood Meadows through Monday morning. More chances for mountain snow are possible as we get closer to Christmas.
As for the Oregon Coast, there is still a High Surf Advisory in effect until 10 p.m. Monday for the northern and central part of the coast.
Looking ahead to Christmas Day and the first night of Hanukkah, we will likely see wet and breezy conditions across Portland metro.
The wet weather trend continues through the end of next week.
