'No guarantees': Proud Boys leader's mom shifts blame for injuries to police on Jan. 6
The mother of former Proud Boys leader Enrique Tarrio is pleading for mercy for her son, and shifting blame toward the police who were injured during the riots on Jan. 6 of 2021.
Tarrio is among up to nine members of the group who reportedly served as informants to the FBI. Tarrio was ultimately sentenced to 22 years in prison.
Tarrio's mother, Zuny Tarrio, said on NBC News that her son deserves a presidential pardon.

"We've suffered long enough," she said. When asked about those who believe Jan. 6 rioters should be in prison, she said a lot of what happened shouldn't have happened.
About police who died in connection with the riot, she said, "There's no guarantees what happens when you do a job like that."
