MONROE — As a lifelong resident of District 2, I am deeply troubled by the fact that Mark Brant, a convicted felon heading to prison for at least a year, will still hold the position of County Commissioner — collecting a taxpayer-funded salary while being completely unable to fulfill his duties. This is not just a technicality; it’s a direct failure to serve the citizens of this district.
