1 dead, 1 injured in subway stabbing in Queens: police
ELMHURST, Queens (PIX11) -- Police say two people were stabbed on a subway early Sunday morning in Queens.
The incident happened on a southbound 7 train at 61st Street-Woodside station around 12:35 a.m.
A 37-year-old man was stabbed in the torso and pronounced dead at a local hospital, police say. The second victim, a 26-year-old man was slashed throughout the body and taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst.
A 26-year-old suspect was taken into custody, according to the NYPD. The suspect also sustained slash wounds.
Police are searching for additional suspects.
